Essex Caledonian Pipe Band was formed in 1996  from two Bands, Brentwood Caledonian and Harwich Pipes and Drums.

We compete in Pipe Band Competitions run by the RSPBA (Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association) all over England, and for the last two years in Belgium, and we  expect to win prizes in our grade. 

We are the sponsors of Scotland in Colchester  In June of each year at Colchester Castle Park Castle and we hope to be winning again this Year.

We believe in teaching our own Pipers and Drummers, and a considerable amount of our weekly practice time is given over to teaching.
